Adobe CS4
I have recently updated all my software from CS3 to CS4. The new Creative Suite consists of many more programs including Adobe Soundbooth, Premier Pro Captivate and Presenter which means much more for my clients with WebDesign.
I have also been learning Adobe Illustrator CS4, i am hoping to use this package to produce effective vector graphics such as the ones below.

The Photoshop Airbrushing tutorial is online and is very popular and a good entry level for someone new to the program.
Forums and Message Boards

The internet is littered with Forums and Message Boards, some useful some not. You can either have a Forum attached to your website or as a website the choice is yours. They can serve a good purpose if you have many members who are willing to help each other and can contain endless threads about whatever topics you allow.
The Software i install on the server is called Invision Power Board.
I have it installed on my server and if you wish to have a look then feel free to visit.
You can sign up and register for an account and can post what you want, within reason of course. It gives you a feel for how a visitor to your site will be be viewing your Forum. Of course when its yours, you become the main administrator with all privalidges. This means you can lock or even delete threads, ban users for a period of time of forever. Personalise the look and add trusted friends as moderators to various sections.
This is a service which i only install the php and MySQL server details. It is certainly not a something i set up with personalised logos as standard. All customisation is done within the Adminstrator Panel.
